1. Who we are

DrillPoint (“we”, “us”) supplies drilling chemicals, equipment, consumables and technical support to drilling and mining operations in Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the wider region. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and when you contact us.

We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa, and the data protection laws of the other countries where we work, including Zambia’s Data Protection Act, 2021.

2. What we collect

• Quote and contact requests: your name, company, email, phone number, site country, what you need and any details you type, such as product names, quantities, part numbers or site location.
• Messages you send us: anything you send by WhatsApp or email, including photos and spec sheets, together with your phone number or email address.
• Website usage: basic, aggregated visit statistics (pages viewed, referring sites, country) collected through our hosting provider’s statistics tool. We do not use this to identify you personally.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes.
• To supply and deliver products and services you order, and to provide technical support.
• To keep records of enquiries and orders, as required for accounting and legal purposes.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

• Service providers who run this website and our email, under their own privacy and security obligations.
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to send your request through WhatsApp.
• Supply and agency partners, only where needed to quote, source or deliver what you asked for.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and quote records for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting order, and for the period required by tax and company law. After that we delete or anonymise them.

6. How we protect it

Quote requests are stored in a password-protected area of this website and sent to our team by email. Access is limited to the people who need it to respond to you.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. You may also object to us processing it. To do so, email us at the address below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) or the data protection authority in your country.

8. Cookies

This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and for basic visit statistics. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.
